AFT Local 1796 hosted an information meeting about the new health plans on Thursday, February 7th. Steve Young, the Managing Staff Representative from Council of New Jersey State College Locals (CNJSCL), answered questions for about 40 of our members.

Changes in meeting dates
Please note that due to spring break, the March General Meeting will be held THURSDAY, March 27th at 12:30. The location will be announced. The May meeting was also changed to Tuesday, May 13th. Click HERE for the complete meeting schedule.
Constitution adopted

AFT email update
The new email address for the AFT Office is aft-office@wpunj.edu (Tardi-AFT@wpunj.edu no longer exists). Messages sent to aft-office@wpunj.edu will be answered by Jean Callie, the Administrative Assistant. PLEASE NOTE that messages of a confidential nature should be sent to Executive Board members at (last name, first initial)@aft-local-1796.org (for example tardis@aft-local-1796.org). Do not use the University server for confidential messages, even if you are off campus! Confidential messages must be sent from a private email account (AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, etc.) to the aft-local-1796.org address. For further clarification, please call 973-720-2988.
